10 weeks LegalDirect - A first retrospective by Leïla
😮 Wow! It has now been 10 weeks since LegalDirect merged with Spectrum Legal, Jeroen's office, and what a ride it has been!
With the Corsican sun on my face, I was given a break last week, which allowed me to look back on this intense and enriching period.
👉 We started on February 1 with a team of 7 employees. The merger was a strategic move to join forces, with the aim of creating a stronger and more specialized offering for our clients. And we are already making good progress in that area.
🤝 But in addition, and decisive for me, the biggest advantage appears to be having a sounding board and a partner like Jeroen. We can draw on each other's expertise, which leads to more innovative solutions for our clients. Sparring and making decisions together not only ensures better results, but also makes the challenges of running an office a lot more pleasant. I am therefore extremely grateful for this collaboration, which not only supports me, but also inspires me to get the best out of our team every day.
💪 What a team by the way! Joris and Lien, you are our rock; Aleyna and Bavo, despite the pressure of your bar exams, you remain tireless; and Inge, you continue to “rock” our GDPR audits and regularly check whether we are all still breathing... Thank you for your efforts!
After all, apart from our “legal tasks”, we have not been idle. The FTI and& by Leuven Mindgate was a phenomenal experience that LegalDirect was happy to collaborate and participate in, with Jeroen in Hasselt, Bavo in Antwerp and me in Leuven. In addition, a lecture for KU Leuven Kick and Leuven.Inc in which Lien developed a fascinating case, Joris throws himself into networking, and some time off here and there. Top!
😅 Of course, our merger also came with challenges. The migration of our CRM and invoicing system has put us to the test. Integrating different systems into one smoothly functioning whole was no easy task, and we underestimated how much time and energy this would take.
😍 Despite the challenges, as far as I'm concerned the balance is only positive. I am proud of how our team overcame these obstacles.
I would also like to especially thank our clients for their valuable feedback and patience, and for all the kind attentions and congratulations. Your responses have confirmed that this was the right move for 'the New & Improved LegalDirect' and help us to continue learning and improving.
I look forward to what the future brings us. On to summer!
